Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs

Seth Godin has posted as part of a “web wide” campaign as to why people don’t use Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs. They save money in the long run, reduce mecury in the environment and give you a warm fuzzy feeling.

I’m sure if you stopped most people on the street they could tell you they’d save money on CF bulbs, but stats show most people don’t use them. Has this line of “saves money, saves environment” been forced down our necks so much that we can say it but don’t believe it? Or perhaps when in a shopping environment, people will instinctively pick up the cheapest, saving the need to make further decisions about the information they are constantly bombarded with…

I don’t know - my house came with CF Lightbulbs Why not calculate how much you would save?
