Google Adsense publishers - You can no longer put images next to Adsense ads!
December 19th, 2006
Just a heads up for publishers who monetise their sites through Google Adsense. Over the last year, many discussions have floated round the webmaster forums and between publishers and Adsense reps over the placing of images next to Adsense ad units. Some have been told they’re not allowed, and others have been told specifically that it’s fine, as long as a line or space separates images from the advert and that the images are not of specific products or items that may confuse visitors.
Well, it seems that Google have decided to clarify their policy and now do not allow images next to adverts that may appear to be associated with the ad
