Google Recipe Search

I noticed today while doing a search for “Turkey Recipes“, Google has integrated a specialised recipe search into its normal web search. The results are powered from Google Base, a powerful database that hasn’t recieved as much attention as it deserves. Google has a whole host of services that the majority of people are not aware of.
This step shows that Google can introduce the diversity of its products all under one roof. An excellent step to help them improve their search quality and relevance. However, the ranking for Google Base items does seem quite bias - the more entries you have, the higher you rank.
